Sacred Heart Girls' College was founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDMs) in 1957, built on the wonderful traditions of their founder, Euphrasie Barbier. It was she who had a dream "that all people would be loved, honoured and respected for the wonderful gifts of their difference and the amazing gifts of our oneness".

PSYCHOLOGIST

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join the Education Support Team as Psychologist to commence 27 January 2026.

The Psychologist is responsible for the provision of services relating to the wellbeing of the students. The Psychologist has a significant role that requires initiative, discretion, expertise and varying levels of confidentiality in dealing with matters of importance to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of students. They work to facilitate access, participation and to maximise educational outcomes for students, and, if qualified, to utilise psychological expertise in education and learning to support and build the capacity of the school community toward the same goals.

HEALTH AND FIRST AID OFFICER

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join the Education Support Team as Health and First Aid Officer to commence 27 January 2026.

The Health and First Aid Officer is responsible for the health care of students including the provision of health care, administration of school-based medication and procedures, provision of first aid to students and staff, management of student health management plans, administration of confidential medical profile records and the maintenance of the first aid rooms, including first aid supplies.

PASTORAL CARE WORKER

Sacred Heart Girls’ College, in conjunction with the National School Chaplaincy Program (NSCP), seeks a Pastoral Care Worker to work with students, staff and parents/carers in the provision of pastoral care and wellbeing programs.

The Pastoral Care Worker provides pastoral care to support the emotional wellbeing of students and contributes to the emotional wellbeing of the broader College community. The Pastoral Care Worker liaises with and works closely with other staff members with key pastoral care and wellbeing responsibilities.

This position is 10 hours per week for the 2026 school year.

You will foster critical thinking and problem-solving. In addition to meeting education and professional requirements, you will be a skilled communicator capable of inspiring and building excellent rapport with students and colleagues.

LEARNING SUPPORT OFFICER 

The Learning Support Officer works as part of the Learning Support Team to ensure learning diversity students develop their full potential in all aspects of school life. The Learning Support Officer will support the smooth inclusion of learning diversity students working in the Learning Diversity area and in the classroom to support subject teachers. 

As part of the team, the Learning Support Officer is expected to be an enthusiastic participant in a dynamic working environment, demonstrating initiative and flexibility in responding to a variety of day-to-day needs. This is a full time, ongoing position.
