Innovation in Action
Technologies Week was a wonderful celebration of creativity, problem-solving and innovation across our College. It provided students with the opportunity to explore different areas of Technologies, develop new skills and enjoy a range of engaging, hands-on activities.
Throughout the week, students stepped into another world through our virtual reality experience, worked collaboratively to solve clues in the Escape Room Challenge, and used their imagination to develop innovative ideas for the future in the Shark Tank Challenge. Students also showed their creative side by making some very cute pom-pom hedgehogs in our creative design session.
It was fantastic to see students working together, sharing ideas, thinking creatively and challenging themselves to try something new. The enthusiasm shown throughout the week created a positive atmosphere and highlighted the many different ways Technologies can inspire curiosity and learning.
These activities demonstrated that Technologies is much more than simply using computers. It is about designing, experimenting, problem-solving and creating. It encourages students to think critically, learn from their mistakes and discover how an idea can be developed into something real.
A special thank you to our eLeaders, who helped organise and run the activities throughout the week. Their enthusiasm, leadership and willingness to support other students played an important role in making Technologies Week such a success.
