Faith and Liturgy Leaders: Social Justice Sunday
Our Faith and Liturgy Leaders take turns preparing and leading lunchtime liturgies in our Chapel, creating opportunities for prayer, reflection and connection. After Social Justice Sunday, our Year 9 Faith and Liturgy Leaders led a thoughtful liturgy centred on the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Students were invited to consider who might be the most vulnerable in our society and to reflect on how, like the Samaritan, we are called to notice those in need, respond with compassion and put our faith into action.
The liturgy concluded with this prayer:
God of justice and hope, thank you for reminding us that every person matters.
When we see someone struggling, help us not to look away. When we notice something unfair, give us the courage to respond. When we feel that our actions are too small to matter, remind us that change can begin with one person choosing to care.
May we leave this chapel with open eyes, generous hearts and willing hands. Help us to be people who notice, listen, include and act, so that our school community can become a place where no one is forgotten.
