Always striving upwards

Acting Principal's Message

End of Term 2 Approaching

It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the end of Term 2 — although the crisp, chilly mornings are a clear reminder that winter is well and truly here. Despite the cold, the vibrant learning culture here at Sacred Heart continues to thrive.

Our Year 10 and 11 students are currently undertaking their Semester 1 exams, and just yesterday, 188 of our Unit 3 & 4 students completed the General Achievement Test (GAT). Today marks a new chapter for our Year 9 STRIVE program, which now includes an overnight city stay, with the Year 9 Religious Education Retreat Day forming part of this exciting urban immersion. Later this term, Year 10 and 11 students will also participate in their respective Retreat Days.

Our dedicated teaching staff are equally busy — marking assessments, providing detailed feedback and preparing Semester 1 reports.

This week, we also welcomed Ms Amy McDonald, our new full-time Student Counsellor. She will be based in the Wominjeka Centre, next to Ms Selina Mok’s office. We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs Linda Parlee for stepping into the role over the past few weeks and supporting our students so capably.
