ThinkUKnow and the Online World
Remember reminding children to look both ways when crossing the road and to not speak to strangers? As our lives have become more tech-connected, parenting, empowering and protecting young people has become more complex. We have all experienced the challenges of a mismatch between tech skills and emotional readiness. The online world is not always a risky space, but it does require strong navigation skills.
Sacred Heart parents, along with Salesian College parents were provided with insights and resources at our recent “ThinkUKnow” parent workshop. Thank you to those who attended.
We hope that the power of your learnings, combined with your young people’s learning in their school-based workshops, combined to create valuable conversations at home. It is one step along the journey.
And … it doesn’t end there. To continue the learning curve or for support when the not-so-great things happen online, please access:
