A Season of Celebration
Our Year 12 students have begun their final term of secondary school and, as with all significant transitions, this time brings a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. While many students are focused on revision and preparing for their final written exams, those studying Language, Dance, and Music have been busily rehearsing for their performance and oral assessments this week.
Our VCE Vocational Major (VM) students, meanwhile, spent last week putting the finishing touches on preparations for their Showcase Evening. Held last Monday, the event celebrated the culmination of their VM studies and provided students with the opportunity to present their Unit 3 and 4 projects and folios. Although their assessments differ from traditional written exams, they require just as much commitment, effort and perseverance. Students, families and staff alike were justifiably proud of all that had been achieved.
Many of you may also have enjoyed our Arts Festival last Friday evening and once again witnessed the remarkable talents of our students through their artwork, films, music and dance performances. Events such as these are the result of countless hours of planning, preparation and encouragement. They are a testament to the dedication of our Arts Learning Leader, Romy Melling, and the many Arts teachers who continually nurture creativity, inspire excellence and support students in developing their talents.
