Message from the Principal
Feast of the Assumption
Last Saturday, the Church celebrated the Feast of the Assumption, and at Sacred Heart this special feast day was honoured through a lunchtime liturgy in our Chapel, facilitated by our Year 10 Faith & Liturgy Leaders. Through prayer, song and reflection, we gave thanks for Mary as a model of faith, humility and discipleship. The liturgy invited students and staff to follow her example by trusting in God, serving others with love and courage, and becoming missionary disciples within our community. Students reflected on Mary’s willingness to say “yes” to God’s call and responded to the question, “When have I had to show courage, trust and faith like Mary?” It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Mary’s example of faith, humility and joyful service, while recognising the gifts, leadership and contributions of all people, especially women, in the life of the Church.
Annual Music Concert
I hope to see many of you at our Annual Music Concert next Thursday evening. This year, it is being held at the Bunjil Theatre — a wonderful opportunity for our performers to share their talents in a professional venue. There are still tickets available, so it’s not too late to come along and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic evening of music.
