Leadership workshop
On Monday the 20 July, the Years 7 -11 SRC Leaders and Homeroom Representatives participated in a ‘Leadership and Community Action’ workshop facilitated by the Monash Youth Services team. This workshop aimed to expand students’ understanding of communities and what it means to be an impactful leader. In small groups, students participated in a problem-solving activity which focused on the process of addressing an injustice identified within a chosen community. Students learnt the importance of approaching issues with an open mind and following a detailed process which considers all stakeholders before taking any action. Overall, this experience was enlightening for the young leaders within our College and reinforced they have agency to bring about a positive change within a community.
