Student Achievements
Scarlett J.
During the last school holidays Scarlett represented Victoria in the Australian Artistic Skating National Championships in two events: Preliminary Compulsory and Preliminary Free Dance. The National Championships took place in Queensland and brought together the country’s best artistic roller skaters. Scarlett performed extremely well especially leading her Victorian team in the Preliminary Free Dance skating event.
We congratulate Scarlett on her outstanding achievement.
Amelia M.
During May, Amelia competed in the Global Games for Cheerleading in Hawaii where she represented Highett Youth Club (HYC) in the Arctic Angels and Ultra Violet Teams. Arctic Angels came in 2nd and Ultra Violet were 4th. Amelia has been cheerleading since 2016, she is a base and tumbler and she really enjoyed having the opportunity to complete overseas. Amelia’s older sister, and former Sacred Heart student, Sophia M. coached both teams, dedicating many hours to perfecting their routines.
We congratulate both Amelia and Sophia on their wonderful success.
Grace R.
Earlier this year Grace competed in and won the Victorian Dance Championships in the Tap Dancing category. This qualified her for the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) competition which took place from the 30 July – 2 August in Brisbane. Grace competed to an exceptionally high level in the senior category and came 3rd in Australia. She trains 6 times per week for a total of 17 hours a week, so this result shows that dedication to her craft has really paid off.
