Always striving upwards

Acting Deputy Principal - Learning & Teaching

Towards the end of Term 1, our Learning Conversations were conducted online. These conversations play a vital role in supporting student success and strengthening the partnership between families and school. They provide an important opportunity for parents and teachers to share insights into a student’s academic progress, highlight areas of strength and identify areas where additional support may be needed.

Learning Conversations also foster strong, trusting relationships between home and school, creating a collaborative approach that enhances student engagement, motivation and achievement. They complement our continuous reporting system, which provides parents and carers with timely access to up-to-date information about their child’s progress throughout the year.

We encourage all parents and carers to regularly monitor their child’s academic progress through PAM and to take part in Learning Conversations when they are next held in Term 3.

This term, we are excited to launch a new initiative: VCE Peer Tutoring. High-achieving former students will return to the College to conduct after-school tutoring sessions for our current Year 12 students.

These small-group sessions are designed to build both skills and confidence, offering targeted support in a collaborative and encouraging environment. Our past students will share their valuable insights, subject knowledge, and practical tips for success, drawing on their own VCE experience to help guide and inspire Year 12 students through their final year.
