Our Year 10 RE students’ visit to the Islamic Museum of Australia was a wonderful way to begin the World Religions topic. Students explored exhibits on the Five Pillars, Islamic art and calligraphy, and the faith’s contributions to science and culture. Hearing personal stories and seeing sacred objects challenged stereotypes and deepened empathy by connecting beliefs and practices to everyday life. Students left curious and reflective, recognising shared values across traditions and the importance of respectful interfaith dialogue in our diverse community.
