Year 9 students recently travelled to Mt Baw Baw as part of our Outdoor Learning Program, for four days of camping, hiking and kayaking. This was a great opportunity for them to work with their peers to develop friendships and interpersonal skills, as well as challenging themselves in a new environment. Students had fun working together to put up tents, plan and prepare meals together, and navigate their way through the beautiful bushland near Mt Baw Baw, with plenty of native animals spotted along the way. This camp offered many fun experiences, students were particularly excited to spend a day kayaking. They worked together to navigate the rapids and paddle downstream, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch, and experiencing the beautiful Thomson River from a whole new perspective.
Well done Year 9s on your enthusiasm and participation at camp!
