Sacred Heart Students Lead the Way in Social Justice with ACRATH
We are incredibly proud of Year 10 students Laila, Turiya, Gracie and Sanika who recently represented the Sacred Heart Community in a meaningful collaboration with ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans). Working alongside Sisters Joan and Colleen, the students participated in developing promotional materials to help raise awareness about human trafficking and modern slavery.
Through their creativity and passion for justice, Laila, Turiya, Gracie, and Sanika began work planning the creation of posters, flyers and activities that will be used by ACRATH to inspire other schools to take action in the fight against human trafficking. Their efforts highlight not only their deep understanding of social justice issues but also their commitment to advocating for those who need a voice.
These young leaders have shown what it means to truly live out the values of our school community; courage, compassion and commitment to justice. We are blessed to have students like them who are not only willing to learn but also to act, raising awareness and advocating strongly for those who are vulnerable.
Thank you Laila, Turiya, Gracie and Sanika for representing Sacred Heart with such grace and determination!
