Reflecting on the Visitation

On Friday 27 May, the Sacred Heart community gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Visitation—an occasion of special significance for the RNDM Sisters, many of whom were able to join us.

Each year, we listen, we pray and we reflect on Luke’s account of Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth. This year, students Beth and Lourdes shared thoughtful reflections on its relevance today, inviting us to consider what it means to truly be present for others and how we can respond with care and compassion. Their message echoed our 2026 theme: “Hearts that listen. Hands that act.”

The celebration also marked the launch of our major fundraising initiative for the year—the annual College Walkathon, held on the final day of term. Funds raised will support the work of the RNDM Sisters and our ongoing partnership with the Dulangan Manobo community. Through this support, the Sacred Heart community helps empower young women to access education, break the cycle of poverty, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

We warmly invite families and friends to support this important cause by sponsoring our students as they take part in the Walkathon. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young women and the communities they represent.
