SEGAP Intermediates - Gold, Grit & Game Day Glory
On Monday 25 May, we entered teams into the Intermediates SEGAP competition. The day’s sports were basketball, futsal and badminton. We had two teams for basketball and futsal, and 10 pairs of students for badminton. The girls had a fierce day of sport ahead of them, and were prepared to demonstrate their school spirit with pride.
Our basketball teams did well to develop their skills over the day, and both teams were very enthusiastic to keep up the effort even after not getting the results they wanted. They kept their composure, and commended for keeping their heads high throughout the day.
Both of our Futsal Teams came home with gold! Staying undefeated the whole day, with a nail-biting penalty shootout for our B Team in the Grand Final. The girls were confident the whole day, and did a fantastic job competing!
Our Badminton Team came second overall! A very strong day for the girls, where they had to work hard for the points that they got, and were resilient and bounced back when they were down points.
Even after a long day of competition, all the girls were proudly representing their school and kept up a tremendous effort all day. Well done girls!
