Always striving upwards

Message from the Principal

Student Leaders Set the Tone

Today, we came together as a school community for our first student-run assembly of 2026. It was a wonderful celebration of life at Sacred Heart and gave students and staff the chance to recognise a wide range of contributions and achievements. For me, one of the highlights was the inspiring message shared by our College Captains, Aggie and Serena.

Their address emphasised that the future is shaped by our effort and choices, encouraging students to try and make the most of every opportunity. Year 7 students were invited to embrace learning, friendships and fun, while Year 12 students were encouraged to enjoy their final months and keep striving through setbacks. All students were called on to appreciate how quickly time passes, reflect on the memories they are making, and look ahead with purpose.

They also highlighted the importance of empathy and community, calling on students to listen, care and act for others. Ultimately, their message was one of authenticity, kindness and action, bringing to life our 2026 College theme: “Hearts That Listen, Hands That Act.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself; we are so fortunate to have such outstanding student leaders.
