Beginning Term 2 with Purpose
Congratulations to all students for the calm and positive way they approached NAPLAN last term. Even with the technical issues on the first day, they showed resilience and gave their best effort. Results will be shared with families early in Term 3. While NAPLAN provides a helpful snapshot, it is just one piece of the picture—teachers use it alongside a range of other information to best support each student’s learning and growth.
In the final weeks of Term 2, our Learning Conversations were held online. These remain a key part of strengthening the partnership between home and school. They provide a valuable opportunity to discuss student progress, celebrate strengths and identify areas for growth. We encourage all parents and carers to continue monitoring progress via PAM and to engage in Learning Conversations again in Term 3.
Last week also saw the return of our VCE Peer Tutoring program. Now in its second year, this initiative brings high-achieving past students back to the College to support our current Year 12 cohort. These small-group sessions build both confidence and capability, with past students sharing subject knowledge, practical strategies and insights from their own VCE experience.
Term 2 continues to be rich with learning opportunities. Highlights include STRIVE City Immersions, Top Designs excursions, Geography fieldwork, Outdoor and Environmental Studies camps, Music Camp, Holocaust Museum excursions, Sydney Dance Theatre workshops and the Year 10 Future Ready program.
We look forward to another engaging and productive term of learning ahead.
