Making a splash at CGSAV Swimming
Over the past few months, the SHGC Swim Team has been training extremely hard, attending countless early morning and after school sessions in preparation for the CGSAV Swimming Competition.
On the 18 March the SHGC Swim Team headed to MSAC to participate in the long-awaited swim competition. It was an exciting day filled with adrenaline, determination, friendly competition, school spirit and lots and lots of lollies. After a long day of determined efforts, Sacred Heart was placed 3rd overall; the Juniors placed 2nd, Intermediates placed 3rd and Seniors placed 4th. We finished the day with a haul of ribbons, smiles and most importantly the sense of accomplishment as each member of the team gave it their all and should be commended for their great teamwork and efforts.
On behalf of the SHGC swim team, Hannah (Vice‑Swim Captain) and I would like to express our gratitude to all the coaches who dedicated their early mornings and late evenings to helping SHGC achieve its very best. Special thanks go to Ava, Ms Smith, Ms McGarry, Ms Harvey and Ms Gibson.
Finally, l would like to thank all the team for trusting me to lead the 2026 SHGC Swim Team.
Well done 2026 Swim Team!
Scarlett
