Embracing the Spirit of Easter in Our Final Weeks of Term

It is difficult to believe that Term 1 is almost over and that Easter Week is nearly upon us. As we journey through these final weeks of Lent, our College theme, “Hearts that Listen, Hands that Act,” feels especially meaningful.

Lent invites us to slow down and listen deeply; to be attentive to one another, while also remaining mindful of the challenges facing both our local and global communities. Our theme calls us not only to listen, but also to act with kindness, generosity and compassion, both personally and collectively.

One way our community lives this commitment is through our support of Project Compassion. Students have generously engaged in fundraising initiatives, offering tangible hope and support to those in need.

As Easter Week commences, many of our students and staff are participating in the Palm Sunday Walk for Refugees, another example of our community embracing our College theme through advocacy, compassion and solidarity.

As the term ends, I’d like to thank all our staff, students and families for all they have contributed to our Sacred Heart community this term. May we continue to listen with open hearts, act with generosity, and walk together in kindness and understanding. Wishing all in our community a blessed Easter filled with hope and new beginnings.
