Developing Tomorrow’s Digital Leaders
On Tuesday 3 March, our eLeaders and Media Managers participated in a training day designed to strengthen their skills in digital leadership and communication. Throughout the day, students explored how technology can be used effectively within the school community, while also developing their confidence in supporting staff and students with digital tools.
The training provided students with opportunities to collaborate, problem solve and learn practical skills that will assist them in their roles throughout the year. eLeaders focused on supporting technology use across the school and assisting with digital initiatives, while Media Managers developed skills in capturing and sharing school events through photos, videos and digital storytelling.
The day was a valuable opportunity for students to build teamwork, leadership and technical skills. We look forward to seeing the positive contributions these students will make as they support school events and help promote the vibrant life of our school throughout the year.
___________
On Tuesday 3 March, students from Years 7 to 11 joined together for training as e-leaders and media managers. We were introduced to the IT staff who work in the IT centre and had the opportunity to meet our fellow tech leaders from across the school. During this day we learned how leadership can inspire others and the importance of guiding our peers toward common goals, emphasising that leadership is not just about wearing a badge.
We were also introduced to a new screen sharing program called VIVI, which will be implemented in all classes later this year as it is still in trial phase and we worked on planning for the year for the great things we will get to do as a group.
