At our College, we are proud of the many opportunities our students have to strive for excellence, reflect on their growth and plan confidently for the future — something clearly reflected in the many events and achievements of the past month.
On Thursday 19 February, we proudly celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2025 at the High Achievers Assembly. Congratulations to all students recognised for their outstanding efforts, with special acknowledgement to our College Dux, Ruvinya Fernando. A special mention to Elaria Atluri on being selected to perform a VCE Skills-based Solo at Top Class Dance 2026, held at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
Our Year 9 students have been actively engaged in the STRIVE program, with a focus on Civics and Citizenship, developing their understanding of active and informed participation in society. Meanwhile, our Year 10 students have been exploring future pathways through the Morrisby Interviews, gaining valuable insights into career options and subject selection as they prepare for the senior years.
Looking ahead, Year 7 and Year 9 students will complete the NAPLAN assessments from Wednesday 11 March to Monday 16 March. These assessments provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the literacy and numeracy skills developed through the curriculum. NAPLAN testing days should be treated as a normal part of the school routine. Students are reminded to bring a fully charged laptop and headphones on each testing day.
As part of our ongoing review and development of the Outdoor Education Program for students in Years 7–10, we will be seeking feedback from families. Please look out for an email outlining the framework of the review and an invitation to participate in a short survey. Your input is highly valued.
Finally, Learning Conversations will be held on Monday 23 March and Tuesday 31 March. We strongly encourage students to attend with their parents or carers, as these conversations strengthen the partnership between home and school and support each student to achieve their personal best. Detailed information and booking instructions are available on PAM.
