CGSAV Volleyball

On Wednesday August 5, Sacred Heart sent 7 Volleyball teams to the CGSAV Volleyball Competition. Every team played a number of games against other CGSAV schools, with many memorable moments across all matches.

Our 3 Junior teams unfortunately just missed out on making finals, but improved their skills and teamwork across the day. These girls will have another opportunity to play at the Junior SEGAP Volleyball day this week.

Our Intermediate teams had a great day. The A team made the Grand Final and finished Runners Up after a very close 4 point loss. Our B team just missed out on the final, despite getting a fantastic comeback win in their last game, where they were down by 10 points with 5 minutes to go and brought it home with some fantastic volleyball played.

Both of our Senior teams had a hugely successful day of competition, boasting undefeated matches throughout the whole day. Both team made their respective Grand Finals which were nail biting games. The A team was victorious by 2 points and the B team won by 1 point! Congratulations to Layla H who was awarded the CGSAV Grand Final MVP medal for the Senior B division.

It was a wonderful day of CGSAV Volleyball with all teams demonstrating great sportsmanship and school spirit. All students represented their school with pride, improved their skills and made lasting memories.
