CGSAV Badminton
On Tuesday 23 June, we had the opportunity to compete in the CGSAV Division 1 Badminton competition. All the girls were very excited to participate, and had a fantastic day of competition.
Our Juniors came away with a fantastic grand final win. Across all the teams, the girls worked together to build up some high scoring games, and comfortably and passionately went undefeated the whole day. In the grand final, Sumi L. was voted as the CGSAV MVP.
Our Inters unfortunately just missed out on the finals, but still had a great day with lots of spirit and fantastic teamwork and fair play. A very tough competition for the Inters, and they did very well to keep their heads up despite not getting the results they wanted.
The Seniors team were the runner-up team for the day, barely missing out on a grand final win by such a small margin of points. Despite the loss, Victoria B. was awarded the CGSAV MVP for the day.
Throughout the day, the girls had a fantastic day of competition. They represented the school with pride and a fierce dedication to the sport. They should all be very proud of their efforts on the day, and I’m sure some of them are already thinking about next years' competition.
