Guided by Heart
Last week, we began the process of electing our 2027 Year 12 student leaders. As part of this process, I had the privilege of interviewing our College Captain candidates and listening to their speeches.
Throughout both the interviews and speeches, I was struck by the students’ deep commitment to and pride in Sacred Heart. Their reflections on how the College has shaped the people they are becoming, their desire to give back to our community, and their hope that Sacred Heart continues to be a place where every person feels heard, valued and welcomed were common themes across all candidates.
Regardless of who is ultimately appointed to these positions, these conversations have given me great confidence in the future of our College community. They have also reinforced my belief in the positive impact our students will make beyond the gates of Sacred Heart as they continue their journeys into the future.
This term we welcome a number of ongoing support staff: Kylie Box (Marketing and Community Engagement Leader), Veronica Shine (Registrar), Susie Massey (Sports Program Coordinator) and Emy Mohan (Learning Support Officer). We also welcome Danielle Saraullo (English teacher), Daniel Mosbauer (Maths/Science Teacher) and past student Isabella Patti (Food Technology Assistant) who are joining our community for the rest of the year.
