Message from the Principal

Welcome to 2026

A warm welcome back to all our students and families. I hope the first few days have been a positive experience especially for new students to the Sacred Heart community. It certainly has been a busy start to 2026 with many activities already having occurred; the Year 12 Retreat, School Photos, Big Sister / Little Sister activities, Year 7 IT Bootcamp, and Year 7 and Year 10 - 12 Parent and Carers Welcome Nights to name a few. And this is in addition to all students settling into the routine of lessons and experiencing a new suite of subjects.

We have welcomed many staff to our community this year, some of whom hold significant leadership positions in the College:

• Libby Kempton – Director of College Organisation and Member of College Leadership team
• Julia O’Callaghan - Learning Diversity Leader
• Adam Ray - Pathways Leader

There have been some internal changes to other leadership positions within the College which were communicated at the relevant Welcome Evenings.

This year we have appointed a Health and First Aid officer, Paula Watkins, whose role includes oversight of student health plans and monitoring sick bay.

Other staff joining our community this year are: Rebecca Cusmano (Languages), Alexandra Kress (Mathematics/Science), Jade Smith, Arinka Yao (Mathematics), Roger Murphy, Irene Platis (Science), Sueleen Snelling (English / Humanities ), Jamie Walles (Humanities), Bobbie Dawson, Elise Payne (LSO), Elizabeth Bensley (Psychologist), Kathleen Fagan (Library Technician).
