Sport - Mission Cup Netball, NZ

Last week, the 2025 Mission Cup Team traveled to Napier, New Zealand to compete in the annual Mission Cup Netball Tournament. The Tournament was spread over two days with each team playing 2-3 games each day. Our team consisted of 10 girls from Years 11 and 12, and we grew incredibly close throughout the trip for which we are so grateful for.

Despite the challenges we faced, we're incredibly proud of the girls' resilience and tenacity. They played each game with unwavering passion and determination, giving their all every time.

We thank Sacred Heart College Napier for hosting the tournament this year and a special thanks to the beautiful girls at St Joseph Māori Girls College for their kindness and generosity, devoting some of their time to teach us their traditional school cultural dance and for cheering us on from the sidelines. This weekend has truly shown the girls the importance of sisterhood and friendly competition.

A big thank you to Mrs Murphy and Miss Harvey for taking the time to coach our early morning training sessions over the last term and travelling with us for the 5 days. We are so grateful for their support on and off the court!
