Always striving upwards

Walkathon

We’re excited to be holding our annual College Walkathon this Friday – a much-loved event that combines fresh air, friendship and physical activity. It’s a day where the whole school community comes together in great spirit, walking and talking for a meaningful cause.

More than just a fun day out, the Walkathon is also our major fundraiser for the year. All funds raised go directly toward supporting the Dulangan Menubo girls from Kulaman, Mindanao in the Philippines – helping to provide them with life-changing educational opportunities.

These girls come from remote, impoverished indigenous communities, where access to schooling is extremely limited. The RNDM Sisters operate a dormitory called Delesan Kailawan, which houses up to 60 girls who are studying at local primary, secondary and, where possible, college levels. In addition to education, the program offers cultural and spiritual support to help the girls grow in confidence and self-worth, while maintaining pride in their cultural heritage.

Displaced from their ancestral lands, the Dulangan Menubo people face significant hardship. The dormitory provides a vital refuge – a safe and supportive environment that allows these young women to attend school during the week. Without it, formal education would remain out of reach.

Your support – and every dollar raised – makes a real difference and holds the key to breaking the poverty cycle for these young girls. So, if you haven’t done so already, please use the link below to make a donation:
