PESA

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) recently held the Plain English Speaking Awards (PESA) Semifinal at the Department of Education. PESA is a public-speaking competition for students aged 15-18 years. It provides students from Government, Catholic and Independent Schools with the opportunity to speak on social issues they are most passionate about.

Agnes (Year 12) proudly represented the College with her prepared speech entitled, "The Lens We Never Question". Along with their prepared speeches, students are also required to present an impromptu speech with only 4 minutes to plan on their unseen topic.

The standard was exceptionally high at this semifinal, and we are proud to announce that Agnes won and will progress to the Victorian State Final next term. She is one of only six students in Victoria to compete at this level.

Please join us in congratulating Agnes and wishing her all the best for the next stage of this illustrious competition.
