On the 13 February, the College held its annual Commencement and Leadership Commissioning Mass, a significant event to mark the beginning of the school year.
The day began with a moving smoking ceremony, which served as a powerful reminder that we stand on Sacred Ground, a place that calls us to care for it and honour its significance. This ceremony set the tone for the Mass, affirming our collective responsibility to protect and nurture the world around us.
In attendance were a number of special guests including parents, the RNDM sisters, and our guests from France who are on exchange. The Mass was officiated by Father Elio Capra, who guided us through moments of reflection and anticipation for the year ahead.
Our Mass was not only as a celebration of the College’s leadership for 2025 but also as a moment to reflect on the theme for the year - Hope in Action. This theme challenges us all, regardless of our titles, to lead with purpose and to believe in the power of our actions to bring about positive change. Hope in Action is more than just a theme; it is a call to live actively with hope, to serve and to contribute to the common good. This Christian hope, rooted in God’s loving kindness, is the foundation for all our actions.
The commissioning of our leaders for 2025 concluded with a renewed sense of purpose: to step into the world with hope and faith in the power of our actions to make a difference.
