Year 7 Spring Soiree

A Celebration of Music and Performance

The Year 7 cohort recently participated in the Spring Soiree as part of the Band curriculum, presenting a vibrant program featuring Young Winds, Concert Band, Strings and Voice. Our performers were exceptional, and I was proud to be part of the Voice group. It was a huge opportunity to perform as a singer to parents. The hush of the crowd, warm lighting and dynamics of the dance studio carried our voices as if they were floating. 

This contrasted with the celebratory “whoo-hoos” and “we did it!” that exploded as the door had barely closed after the performance. It was a great, fun experience. I loved working with new people and achieving a high standard through the course of many rehearsals. 

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff who organised and led this marvellous event, and to all the parents who attended. Your support made the experience truly special.
