Christmas Appeal

There are many families in our wider community who are experiencing challenging times with 1 in 3 Australian households experiencing food insecurity and 2 million households regularly skipping meals or going without food for a whole day. As Christmas approaches many families experience even greater financial pressures and are unable to celebrate this special time of the year. The Sacred Heart community is invited to make donations to make a difference to how these families experience Christmas this year.

Each year level will have a specific focus and collect donations for a different Catholic organisation which we have supported throughout the year.

We invite each student to donate one item to their year level’s collection.

Years 7 & 8: MacKillop Family Services Christmas Toy Appeal

Year 9: Vinnies-Christmas foods and essential food items or Fairwell Day (RNDM fundraiser)- Chocolate blocks

Year 10: Vinnies- Christmas foods and essential food items

Year 11: Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project (BASP) – rice, oil, sugar (1kg), tea, coffee, salt, pepper
